Teamwork

Today I was distracted and derailed by some unexpected administrative work and other thing. I had to drop from helping people and participating as much as I wanted; But I was pleased to see others come in and help without being asked, and some folks solving their own issues (in one case quite a perplexing error for me they solved on their own!).
Again a great feeling of folks selflessly supporting each other creating a more powerful whole. I feel this bolsters the cohesion of the team and not only helps relieve the person experiencing a blocking issue, but is also gratifying and builds more confidence and expertise in the person doing the help. I felt that if I trip up, someone is there to help me and carry the load for a while, without any negative comment or making me feel bad. Good vibes and great teamwork, I feel I can let my ego go too.

As scattered as I became today, I still managed to get to 50% completion of the 2D course which felt like a small milestone. The 2D course continues to provide some good challenges and learning.

I’m also trying to organize some of the information for the team better, getting schedules, blogs, and other info more succinctly posted in Slack, and this will continue to evolve. The other team leads, especially Joanne have been immensely helpful for me getting on boarded. Kudos.

I look forward to the daily AM and PM meetings with my spirited cheerful team member even as we all struggle with the sometimes very difficult challenges in the course. So many things for folk to learn and master, It’s already rewarding and inspiring to see the progress folks are making in all different areas at once!
